A Project We Love Less: Our Shipping Story

The atlases and other rewards have finally arrived and our team has been busily packaging and shipping them out! We anticipate all shipping to be fulfilled ahead of schedule.

For those who backed a reward level that included Mars Portal, we will be sending out instructions on how to access the portal to the email address provided to us when you filled out the survey. In the email, you will be provided a URL link and an access code allowing you unfettered access to Mars Portal.

In addition, each atlas that is shipped comes with a pre-addressed postcard in hopes that you’ll share your thoughts on the atlas, portal, or Kickstarter campaign in general.

The postal service and private carriers in the US and in other parts of the world have been struggling to keep up with shipping demands as more and more customers turn to eCommerce to satisfy their shopping needs. This combined with fewer domestic and international flights along with overland border closures has led to delayed deliveries in many cases.  Most of you have received your packages at this point. For those of you who have not, please bear with us as the postal system catches up.

One of us, I won’t tell you have uttered several expletives as some Atlases have been mishandled in the shipping process. We love this project, but we equally love this part of the project less. Thank you for all your patience and understanding. We have learned a great deal and will be applying improved and more predictable shipping methods moving forward.
